Here is a unique leadership opportunity, with an organisation having staff numbering in the thousands, that provides social services across the New Zealand landscape, those staff having a reputation for being highly dedicated to the delivery of outstanding service.
  
With proven and successful experience as CFO of a commercial, results driven organisation, you will inspire confidence with the CEO, Board, and Senior Leadership peers. Fundamentally this will be evidenced through your achievements and provision of valued advice as a commercially astute senior finance professional who innately understands and contributes to, the broader organisational and market imperatives.

Your leadership skills ensure that you "take people with you." While you will directly have a small team, working very closely with the Group CEO, your sphere of influence is substantial. You will proactively develop systems and processes that deliver results, exceeding the expectations of your internal and external customers and “stakeholders.”  

Through your business analysis skills and commercial nous, you will maximise the opportunities that exist to integrate efficiencies through structural and systems alignment for the organisation, both internal and external.

Overseeing the development of the organisations financial strategies and business plans is an integral function, ensuring that they are robust and practicable, with the structures and measurements in place to meet requisite obligations. You will be working with a complex entity, having a number of largely independent companies operating under the one “umbrella.” This role sits across them as a part of the overarching “parent.” As a result, you must be comfortable and energised by managing the inevitable complexities which will arise, the individual requirements of the operating arms within the Group strategy, and providing superior and trusted advice at Board level.

CA qualification is required. It may be beneficial if you have experience in the broader health sector, but this is not crucial. Critically, you must have experience as a CFO (or equivalent) in a strong, outcome driven, commercial environment, having worked closely and effectively with a CEO, and as a trusted advisor to a Board.
