Here is your opportunity to take ownership for lifting the focus on health, safety and wellbeing with management and staff, across a large and complex organisation that is critically important to us all.

This organisation is committed to responding to risk, and also to promoting resilience and wellbeing at individual, team and organisation level, providing a workplace where staff can thrive.

This is an exciting time to be the key contributor to the Health, Wellness and Safety function, as it gains an increased focus on maximising safety, minimising risk and promoting wellbeing. The organisation is exploring and embedding safety 2 approaches to support safety culture. Aligning strategic intent with advice, planning and programmes of work and ensuring a more integrated approach, will be the core to your success.

You will be leading a team of qualified health, safety and wellbeing professionals.  The credibility you have developed through your experience to date will be crucial in gaining the respect of not only the team, but across the organisation as a whole. Your actions and approach will have a marked impact across every aspect of this entity.

Alongside the aforementioned technical knowledge, other non-negotiable experience will be leadership and influencing skills. You will be passionate about coaching, mentoring and empowering the organisation to “live and breath” best practice health, wellbeing and safety principles, having them always front of mind.

With a significant work programme to deliver, your ability to build collaborative teams, develop and implement service standards and solve problems will be key to your success in the role.  No two days are the same, requiring flexibility, perseverance and patience.
